HOW ADMISSION WORKS

Apply to the Faculty, choose your Programme in Year 1

All undergraduate applicants enter through one broad-based JS code. In Year 1 you take introductory courses across the four Academies, meet your academic adviser twice, and then declare a Programme (major) for Years 2 to 4. High-demand Programmes allocate places on Year 1 results.

01 ACADEMY OF CHRP

Chinese, History, Religion and Philosophy

Reading the Chinese-language world closely — its texts, its past and its moral arguments.

02 ACADEMY OF GSIS

Geography, Sociology and International Studies

Cities, societies and governance — taught with Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area as the working case study.

03 ACADEMY OF LAC

Language and Culture

Language as evidence and as craft — literary study, applied linguistics and professional translation.

04 ACADEMY OF WHD

Wellness and Human Development

Professional pathways for teaching, social work, counselling and sport — with placement hours built in.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

How to apply

JUPAS APPLICANTS HKDSE 332A33 Chinese 3, English 3, Mathematics 2, Citizenship attained, and two electives at 3. Best five subjects are counted, with a weighting on languages.
NON-JUPAS AND INTERNATIONAL Direct application IB 26 points, GCE A-Level 3 passes, or an Associate Degree / Higher Diploma for senior-year entry. Interviews for shortlisted applicants.
KEY DATES Opens October 2026 Non-JUPAS main round closes in January; JUPAS follows the HKDSE timetable. Information days are held in October and March.
